Job description:
You will be responsible for all aspects relating to the Telecommunication and Networking industry such as but not limited to: Installing, troubleshooting, programming and configuring all types of telecommunication equipment, working with different types of wiring and being able to differentiate between colors, working with all types of cable including Coax, Cat5 / Cat6, working with small components to establish cable connections, understanding signal path and flows, using hand tools and testing equipment. This is a fully remote, security sensitive, fast paced, high energy and physically demanding position.
Responsibilities
• Running cables from poles and inside the house (including climbing poles and work in basements)
• Verifying signal levels on cable outlets
• Providing TV, Internet and Phone services for our customers
• Installing equipment (modems, cable boxes)
• Troubleshooting
• Customer education
Requirements
• Driver’s License and Social Security Number
• Ability to pass Drug Test
• White minivan or truck (if not, can be provided for rent 100$/week)
• Ability to carry 28 ft ladder
• Work well under pressure, and work both independently and as part of a team while being detail oriented.
• Demonstrate a professional appearance with excellent verbal and written skills combined with the ability to identify small print and distinguish between colors.
• General working knowledge of computers, laptops, operating systems, emails, PDF, GPS/ Navigation systems and electronics.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends, over time and holidays when necessary to meet customer needs/ system demands.
